Account Manager, Commercial

Lead Technician, Commercial

The Commercial Lead Technician provides technical installation, completion, and closeout of a project as well as possibly dumping code and making final adjustments to the system. They are the client’s onsite project interface throughout the installation process. They act as mentors and trainers to other technical staff. They can act as Project Foreman on larger complex projects. Roles could consist of some or all of the below list and may have tasks outside the determined tasks listed.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installation through final testing and the quality and functionality of client systems most efficiently and effectively to assure timely completion and maximum performance. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth while assuming a professional environment onsite by self and installation teams.
  • Dump control system programs/code, DSP and final tweaks to installation projects.
  • Pre-installation site survey when needed.
  • Build, Inspect and test fabricated racks in-house or onsite at client location.
  • Post project walkthrough with the client.
  • Client training and system overview.
  • Understand, install and quality check rigging/mounting of equipment and displays.
  • Test, quality control and help train on the installation of structured cabling to include but not limited to pulling, terminating and testing all AV/network category cables, HDMI, control and audio cables.

Minimum of 4 years of experience installing, programming, configuring AV components in commercial and/or residential environment. Structured wiring, Project Installation, Mounting/Structure, Control System, Networking and DSP experience required.

Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience completing and managing the technical installation of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of control systems. Crestron and Biamp experience is a plus.

Infocomm CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D or Cedia ESC, ESC-T, ESC-N. Additional Certifications by manufacturer or product a plus. Experience leading and supporting AV projects a plus. Candidates without certifications will be required to obtain certifications in an agreed upon timeframe/goals set. Also, additional experience may be required in place of certifications. Technical knowledge and proficiency in basic MS office applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Lead Technician, Luxury Residential

The Luxury Residential Lead Technician will work with Project Foremen, Commissioning Coordinators and could act as a Lead Technician in the installation of AV and Technology systems, solutions and structured cabling applications. The employee could have some but not have all the experience required for the below tasks (determination will be based on relevant knowledge and years of experience). For areas you do not have expertise in you will be trained through industry certification, manufacturer training as well as mentoring through Texadia Systems Team Members.

  • Install, work and train with Project Foreman and other team members on: rack fabrication, rigging/mounting of structural support equipment, installation of structured wiring, terminating and testing all av connections/cables, installation and proper placement of all equipment.
  • Provide feedback and report issues to the Project Manager, Project Foreman or Lead and assist in solving concerns that will impact project deliverables.
  • Back up to Project Foreman/Lead to provide daily field report to Project Managers by end of shift.
  • Learn and understand the construction and AV industry.

Project Manager, Commercial

The Project Manager is responsible for the budget and delivery of all aspects of the audio/visual system scope running multiple projects, ranging from preconstruction services through construction installation to complete system turnover. The project manager takes ownership of the project once contract/client approval is delivered from account management to operations.  This role will interact, train, mentor and perform with multiple design solution disciplines, project management on multiple levels, and interface with internal and external customers/manufacturer partners regularly to provide the highest level of customer services and delivery to our client partners.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible and owns the project installation budget, delivery, preconstruction and project management activities, including but not limited to the below tasks:
  • Liaison between Sales, Design, Project Lead and Client once the project has been approved by the client and processed through the system.
  • Communication conduit for clients, account manager, leadership and all internal/external resources and stakeholders.  Daily and weekly communication requirements for all projects.
  • Review scopes of work (SOW) specifications, plans and control code to deliver within budget, cost-effective systems solutions acting as a subject matter expert throughout the project.
  • Devise procurement strategies, schedule and delivery timelines.
  • Understand and adhere to installation budgets and costs.
  • Attend all construction meetings.
  • Implement project schedules for each project to maximize financial and resource performance, mitigate risk and complete according to project schedules, milestones and timelines.
  • Evaluate and coordinate subcontractor needs and performance.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project change orders which may also include working with design on value engineering and change order proposal documentation.
  • Allocate and work with the Install Mgr. on the schedule of installation resources as needed.
  • Demonstrate and perform as job site leadership in a professional manner at all times.
  • Schedule, facilitate and document project kickoff meetings (KOM) internal and external.
  • Create and develop work breakdown structures (WBS) for installation teams.
  • Ensures prompt response to all customer and company initiated installation issues.
  • Responsible for all project documentation and communication timely.
  • Inform and keep leadership abreast of any situation around client dissatisfaction, project financial overruns and deliverables not met.
  • Responsible for tracking and physical inventory control of equipment and misc. materials/consumables, as well as returns for the project.
  • Identify and solve issues that will impact or increase the level of customer service, profits to company and employee growth/development.
  • Work with other PMs and Ops leadership on technical resource weekly schedule.

Service Technician, Luxury Residential

The service technician provides technical support, troubleshooting/service calls, install team assistance when needed. They also may act as mentors for more junior level technical staff. They are the customer support face for Texadia for technical support after the installation. This position can also onboard or help commission a system, plus walkthrough and training with the client. This role could be handling one or multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Responsible for service/support calls, troubleshooting most efficiently and effectively to assure timely completion and maximum performance.   • Responsible for tweaking, updating and writing automation control system programs/code.
  • Assistance with pre-installation and/or TM site survey when needed.

Design Bid Estimator

A Design Bid Estimator is a key functional support to the Sales and Design Team.  You will work with the team to prepare design proposals and bid packages for our client partners.  This role will be responsible for proper reviewing, coordination, and estimation of BOM, misc. consumables, all labor services, and ancillary costs that may be required to complete a project bid/proposal.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales/Design Team on requirements for bid and design build proposals.
  • Scrub bid packages to confirm for accuracy between plans and SOW, inconsistencies and errors in consultant designs and bid documentation.
  • Prepare RFIs when needed.
  • Build BOM in proposal software, currently DTools.
  • Review RCP/Floor Plans, drawings, and documentation to determine needs that could affect product and/or labor services.
  • Translate customer requirements in Design Build Opportunities
  • Assist Sales with SOW deliverables
  • Identify technical and logistical impediments for projects.
  • Identify special project needs, lifts, tools, rigging support, extra resource time for meetings, additional safety requirements and any additional costs outside product and labor associated with product installation directly.
  • Works with Marketing Team to secure all bid required documents.
  • May be required to complete project site surveys.
  • Will participate in KOMs.
  • Work with Operations Manager/PMs on change orders and post sales design and deliverable needs.
  • Will work with CAD on final redlines.
  • Back up support to Design Team.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of AV Design production in AV floor plans, riser plans, elevations, sectionals, system and control design, diagrams and writing specifications.
  • Working knowledge of AV Design technology solutions, i.e., digital signage, control systems, video streaming and conferencing.
  • Knowledge of Crestron
  • Fundamental knowledge of network infrastructures.
  • 3-5 years of previous employment in engineering, commissioning, programming, or transferrable skills to design.
  • Proficient in MS Office and general PC based applications,
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong client facing and customer support skills.
  • Experience in reading/understanding architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawings.
  • A teachable disposition and a willing attitude towards continuing education.
  • Flexibility to work outside the job description when the need arises.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Clean driving record and background check.

Education, Certification and/or Experience

Minimum high school diploma – Degree preferred.  Bachelor’s Degree in engineering related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.  Successes in designing, commissioning, installing and/or servicing technical installation/repair of audiovisual systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, networking set up and protocols, and implementation of control systems code.  Customer service background a must.

CTS Certification with CTS-D highly desired and other manufacturer certifications are a plus and may be required in your training track as career development.  3-5 years’ experience as SE/DE. 1-2 years in the Technology/AV sales/consulting field – Design or Integration

Technical knowledge and proficiency in basic MS office applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. AutoCAD a plus.  DTools a plus.
