Tech Innovations for Dallas Homes

Texadia Systems was brought in for a whole-home retrofit in the Glen Abbey area of Dallas, Texas — a lovely, traditionally finished residence whose lighting had fallen behind the home itself. The existing fixtures were low quality and incompatible with modern LED technology, leaving elegant, well-appointed rooms feeling dark, drab, and dreary rather than showcasing the home's finishes and architecture the way the owners had originally envisioned.

The centerpiece of the project was a full lighting control overhaul built on Lutron Lighting Control paired with DMF Lighting fixtures. Where existing fixtures could be replaced outright, Texadia did so; in areas where the architecture or existing millwork made fixture replacement impractical, the team retrofitted LED-compatible lighting into the fixtures already in place. The result was a home that reads as brighter and more intentional without any visible sign of the upgrade — lighting that is felt, not seen.

Beyond lighting, Texadia upgraded the home's automation platform to Control4, giving the homeowners unified control over lighting and the home's other systems. The home theater was also redone, with a Sony projector and Screen Innovations screen delivering the video experience, and the home's network was rebuilt on Araknis Networks hardware with Wattbox power management to support the upgraded systems reliably behind the scenes.

While lighting control and fixture work made up the bulk of the project, the combined result — renewed lighting, an updated theater, a modern network, and Control4 automation tying it together — brought the home's technology up to the level of the residence itself.

Texadia Systems was enlisted by a builder to implement a high-end home technology system for a modern residence in Dallas, Texas, focusing on audio/visual, lighting control, and security with an emphasis on aesthetics and performance. The project aimed for a flawless blend of technology with the home’s architecture, prioritizing both functionality and design.

The cornerstone of the project was the advanced lighting control system, utilizing Lutron Lighting Control paired with customized elegant Meljac keypads. The client desired a solution that eliminated traditional light switches, favoring pre-engraved keypads that blended into the home's aesthetic while offering intuitive control over lighting, audio volume and smart controls within each space. 

Audio Video delivered a high-fidelity audio experience across eight areas using James Loudspeaker's and Origin Acoustics, primarily hidden to preserve aesthetics, all managed via the Savant Pro Automation system. Video enhanced with Samsung Framed TV’s and Sony Bravia.  

Security and Access was integrated with a 2N door entry system for automated front gate control, adding convenience and security through the Savant system. Network Infrastructure has connectivity with a robust Pakedge network and Ubiquiti wireless access points.

By focusing on custom solutions and seamless integration, the project not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations, redefining luxury and functionality in home automation.
