Luxury Residential Account Manager
About Position
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of the sales cycle. Provide new business opportunities as well as continued growth through existing client relationships. Perform towards the achievement of maximum growth and profits inline with company strategies, vision and values. In this role you will pursue, seek out and nurture high-end residential audiovisual Design, Systems Integration and Services.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of the sales effort necessary to identify and develop sales opportunities, bring in new business, and successfully manage existing client relationships.
- Exhibit a consultative sales approach to determine customer’s needs.
- Develop and prepare formal written proposals and bid responses that are complete, accurate with margins/profitability according to company standards
- Establish professional relationships with manufacturer/vendor partners and sales engineer personnel.
- Active and ongoing prospecting.
- Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships.
- Provide professional and timely communication and responses to client requests and questions.
- Provide the required weekly sales, opportunity and forecast reports.
- Attend sales meetings as required.
- Achieve or exceed planned goals and sales objectives.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Identify and solve issues that will impact projects prior to proposal/sales process.
- Stay current with industry and technical knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies and changes within the industry.
- Work closely with accounting team, AR and collections of past-due accounts.
- Other duties assigned and not described/listed under these duties and responsibilities.
Education, Certification and/or Experience
- Minimum 3 years of AV industry or Technology Industry Experience.
- Successful account management professional will be highly motivated with a proven track record of established sales growth and success
- Proven closing and negotiating skills.
- Must have professional presentation skills.
- Good organizational skills, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
- Infocomm CTS, CTS-I and/or CTS-D certification and/or Cedia equivalent certifications is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
- Additional related experience can be substituted for the educational requirement. 5 years outside sales experience with proven successes in selling and account management within the technology industry.
- A plus or substitute experience – 5+ years outside sales experience with at least 3+ years in video conferencing sales, telecommunications sales, security sales or software/IT sales.
- Construction process experience a plus.
