Luxury Residential Lead Technician
About Position
The Luxury Residential Lead Technician will work with Project Foremen, Commissioning Coordinators and could act as a Lead Technician in the installation of AV and Technology systems, solutions and structured cabling applications. The employee could have some but not have all the experience required for the below tasks (determination will be based on relevant knowledge and years of experience). For areas you do not have expertise in you will be trained through industry certification, manufacturer training as well as mentoring through Texadia Systems Team Members.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, work and train with Project Foreman and other team members on: rack fabrication, rigging/mounting of structural support equipment, installation of structured wiring, terminating and testing all av connections/cables, installation and proper placement of all equipment.
- Provide feedback and report issues to the Project Manager, Project Foreman or Lead and assist in solving concerns that will impact project deliverables.
- Back up to Project Foreman/Lead to provide daily field report to Project Managers by end of shift.
- Learn and understand the construction and AV industry.
- Proper handling and securing of all inventory and equipment.
- Assist with restocking and cleanliness of company vehicles daily.
- Ensure you understand daily the project deliverables and milestones.
- The ability to learn and perform troubleshooting diagnostics and report issues to Project Manager, Project Foreman or Lead.
- Familiar with network IP addressing.
- Uphold standards, deliverables and quality control every day.
- Operate AV and technology equipment.
- Responsible for returning inoperative/damaged or unused products to the warehouse daily.
- Follow all safety guidelines of Texadia Systems as well as specific client requirements.
- Keep a clean and neat job site and work area.
- Work with Technicians, helping to mentor and coach others with less experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to train/learn to configure IP based AV devices. To include EDID and HDCP settings.
- Ability to train/learn to configure/develop control and DSP system programs
- Ability to think and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to train/learn proper wiring and termination skills.
- Follow proper/safe installation techniques of all AV equipment at all times.
- Ability to train/learn construction drawings and follow functional diagrams.
- Read and interpret wiring, elevation, structural, electrical drawings and follow SOW.
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills that allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- A teachable disposition and a willing attitude towards learning, education and industry knowledge.
- Flexibility to work outside the job description when the need arises.
- Clean driving record and background check.
