This new system utilizes the latest AV technology to facilitate in-person and video conferencing presentations. The center will be used to educate chefs and operators on ways to use avocados in recipes.
Avocados From Mexico was started in 2013 to represent the business in the United States. It was formed as a non-profit organization charged to coordinate the marketing activities for the Mexican Hass Avocados Importers Association, MHAIA, and The Association of Growers and Packers of Avocados From Mexico (APEAM).
AFM wanted a state-of-the-art culinary center to promote their company and products — a facility that would allow them to present new recipes to consumers in the United States. They were referred to us by Cushman & Wakefield. We worked with C&W on a previous project and they recommended us to AFM.
To design an AV system that would support the client’s multiple uses anticipated for this flexible new space, ranging from live culinary training sessions with multiple cameras and wireless microphones, to executive-level business meetings with slide presentations and video conferencing support — while keeping the operation of the system simple and easy to use, requiring very little assistance from the IT support staff or trained technicians.
We designed a system that consists of multiple flat-panel displays located around the room that will allow the user the ability to show video sources such as a wireless laptop presentation, high definition cook-top cameras, digital signage players, a dedicated room PC, etc. Also, we included a motorized projection screen paired up with a 5000-lumen laser-based projector for traditional boardroom-style conferences and presentations.
Audio reinforcement is supported with modern style pendant speakers, wireless presenter microphones, and a powerful new digital audio signal processor with integrated audio conferencing capabilities. AFM also now has digital signage appliances where they can create and control the content delivered to the displays during an event or for informational purposes 24/7.
Texadia’s software development team created a custom touch panel user interface to automate many of the system functions so that meeting setup time is reduced and normally complicated tasks such as routing video sources to displays, setting volume levels, and making conference calls can happen with a simple touch of a button.
We brought new technology and ideas to AFM that allowed them more flexibility than they initially expected. Check out these links to see the results:
Texadia Systems delivered a simple, reliable, and effective system that allows Avocados from Mexico to reach their existing customer base more efficiently and presents the opportunity for them to expand their customer base across the United States.
