Crestron Home Dealer and Installer in Dallas-Fort Worth

Texadia Systems designs, installs, and supports Crestron Home residential systems across Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas, bringing lighting, shades, climate, audio, video, and security under one interface. A big house can end up with a different remote, app, or wall switch for every system in it, and the devices that were meant to simplify your lifestyle end up complicating it.

Texadia is a certified Crestron dealer and a design-build firm that brings a commercial AV background into high-end residential builds.

What Crestron Home Controls in Your House

By the end of a long day, nobody wants to walk through a large house working out which app handles the lights and which one handles the music. Crestron Home puts lighting, shades, climate, door locks, audio, and video on a touchscreen or in the app on your phone. One scene can prepare the house for movie night, a dinner party, or a quiet morning: the lights settle, the shades lower against the afternoon sun, the music comes up, and the thermostat adjusts.

We build each scene around the way your household moves through the house. Before any programming happens, we have a conversation to understand what would work best for you. Crestron Home also works with a wide range of third-party devices, so equipment you already own and like can often join the system.

If you want the bigger picture of how we approach whole-home control, our smart home automation page walks you through it.

Planning the Network, Power, and Equipment Space Before Walls Close

Everything a Crestron smart home does depends on what is built behind the walls, and that gets decided early. Many Preston Hollow properties sit on larger lots, and a good number are new builds rather than renovated, which gives the technology room to be planned properly.

We plan the home network, power, and equipment space before a single device goes in, because a Crestron Home system is only as dependable as what it runs on. When we join during the planning stage, we build on that foundation rather than causing costs and delays trying to adjust plans later down the line.

Building or Rebuilding

On a ground-up project, we work with your builder and architect so wiring, power, and equipment rooms are drawn into the plans before framing closes. Equipment gets a home of its own, away from the rooms you live in, and the pathways between rooms are planned with the walls still open.

Remodeling

If part of the house is being opened up, that opening is the chance to do the work properly. We look at which walls and ceilings are coming apart and place wiring, controls, and equipment accordingly, so the rooms you are already paying to renovate do not need to be reopened later. In other areas, Crestron offers battery-powered and wireless options that may work best.

Why Homeowners Bring Texadia In for Crestron Home

Who does that planning matters as much as the plan. Most homeowners do not want to coordinate an electrician, a network installer, an AV company, and a programmer. They want one team accountable for how the whole house works on an ordinary evening.

That is how we run a project. Texadia is a design-build firm with a commercial AV background, and our design-build process carries a project from the first conversation through installation, programming, and support. Our electrical work is handled in-house, so the people laying out your lighting circuits work alongside the people who know what the control system needs from them.

We are consultative by habit. We start by listening to how your household lives and what you want from the house, and we will not sell you equipment you do not need. If you would like to talk it through in person, you can schedule a visit to our Addison showroom.

Josh.ai Voice Control on Crestron Home

Control does not have to mean reaching for a screen. When your hands are full, the easiest way to run the house is to ask for it. Josh.ai voice control is built for custom homes and works natively with Crestron Home.

You can say "Josh, turn on the kitchen lights and lower the shades" the way you would say it to a person, and it handles both. It reaches lights, shades, thermostats, locks, audio, video, and dedicated scenes through discreet Josh Micro and Josh Nano microphones.

We design voice control into the whole system instead of adding it afterward. In a larger home with several living spaces, a game room, and outdoor entertaining areas, that means placing microphones strategically where people congregate and tying each room's lights, shades, and audio to a single request.

How We Help You Decide If Crestron Home Is the Right Fit

Choosing a platform is where many homeowners feel pulled in different directions. If different dealers have told you different things, the useful question is which system fits your household, not which is best. Crestron Home is a strong option for homes that want one polished interface across lighting, shades, audio, video, and climate. Whether it is the right fit depends on how your household lives and who will use it, and we work that out together in the first consultation.

Bring the plans, the wish list, or just a frustration with the house you have now, and we will talk it through. You can also see the other platforms we install on our residential partners page.

Crestron Home in Established Park Cities Homes

If your home is already built, the question shifts from planning to fitting. Many Park Cities homes are established properties that have been renovated or rebuilt over the years, and their owners want modern control without opening up finished rooms. We look at the walls, ceilings, and wiring conditions in each room before we recommend where controls and equipment should go. We also consider how Texas weather will affect any outdoor applications.

Lighting and Shades

Crestron has announced integration between Crestron Home and Lutron lighting and shading control, including RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks with QS and QSX. Texadia is a Lutron dealer, so we can design the lighting and the control system together. Our motorized shades page shows how we approach glare, privacy, and daylight.

Audio and Video

Whether the room is a casual media space or a dedicated theater, we design the picture, the sound, and the control as one piece of work, so the same touchscreen or app that runs the lights also starts the movie. Our home theater page covers how those rooms come together.

Networking

Everything above depends on the network, so we plan it first. Our Wi-Fi and networking page explains how we think about coverage, capacity, and the infrastructure behind it.

Equipment Out of Sight

Racks and gear get their own planned space instead of ending up in a closet that was never meant for them. Keeping them out of the rooms you live in protects the finishes you chose.

Outdoor Spaces and Storm Season

Many Park Cities backyards have a pool, a covered patio, and an outdoor kitchen, and anything installed out there has to put up with long, hot summers and spring storms.

Power Management

Hail and high winds are part of the North Texas forecast, and storms can leave homes without power for days. We can protect the system with whole-home surge protection and battery backup.

Support After Your Crestron Home System Is Installed

Installation is not the end of our role as a Crestron home automation installer. Plenty of homeowners have lived through a system that stopped working and a dealer who stopped calling back. We see the end of installation as the point where the relationship really begins.

Our service team stays with the home after the installation, and we offer annual service plans, after-hours support, and a service desk, so you know where to turn when you need help. You can read more about our residential service plans.

Common Crestron Home Questions Homeowners Ask Us

When should we bring in a Crestron Home dealer if we are building or rebuilding?

As early as the plans allow, and ideally before framing closes. Wiring, power, and equipment rooms are far easier to place while the walls are open, and your builder and architect can fold them into the drawings. If you are still choosing a builder, we can talk through what the technology will need. For a remodel, the same rule applies to whichever walls are about to open.

Can Crestron Home go into an older Park Cities home?

Yes. Crestron makes wireless dimmers, keypads, and control modules, and some of the keypads run on batteries. That lets us add controls to a room without running new wire through finished walls. Where walls are already open, we use wired connections, and many homes end up with both. We walk the house with you to decide what goes where, and we confirm that Crestron’s current products fit.

Can one Crestron Home system cover the main house, a pool house, a guest house, and the outdoor areas?

Yes. How we connect separate buildings and outdoor areas depends on the property, so we map the network and power between structures during design. The goal is for a single scene or request to reach everything you want it to, indoors and out.

Does Crestron Home work with Lutron lighting and shades?

Yes. Crestron integrates with Lutron RadioRA 2, RA2 Select, and HomeWorks with QS and QSX. Crestron Home can detect Lutron hardware on the network, and scenes can bring lights and shades together with audio, video, and climate. Supported Lutron systems can change over time, so we confirm compatibility for your project, and because Texadia is a Lutron dealer, we can design both sides together.

Can I add Josh.ai voice control to Crestron Home?

Yes. Josh.ai works natively with Crestron Home and can reach lights, shades, thermostats, locks, audio, and video. We plan microphone locations and room-by-room control as part of the original design, so voice works the way your household actually talks. Discreet Josh Micro and Josh Nano microphones keep the hardware out of sight.

What happens if something stops working, and who do we call?

You call us. Our service team supports the systems we install, and we offer annual service plans, after-hours support, and a service desk. Every plan includes 24/7 email, text, and chat support and remote repair, and our in-house team takes phone calls Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM. We can walk you through what each plan includes.
