The Latest & Greatest of Lutron Motorized Shades

Lutron motorized shades on a window in a white living room.

SEE WHAT YOU’VE BEEN MISSING

We’ve been shading our windows much the same way for hundreds of years. Pulling on chords, tugging on fabric—it’s time-consuming if you need to do it multiple times a day. And in large homes with hard-to-reach windows, you may just leave the shades open.

That is, until motorized shades. Motorized shades aren’t a brand-new concept, but Lutron has refined the technology to perform seamlessly across the house through automated schedules and smart commands. And Lutron is committed to its motorized shading business— it’s recently broken ground on a new 145,000-square-foot shading factory in Virginia.

If you still use manual shades and blinds in your Westlake, TX home, see what you’ve been missing below. And if you’re curious about installing Lutron shades, contact Texadia Systems here.

WHAT’S NEW FROM LUTRON?

Palladiom Shades

Lutron’s Palladiom shades are its latest model, offering a minimalist profile and whisper-quiet performance (pictured above). The Palladiom roller shades are designed to be installed without a cassette or facia hiding the bracket, creating a seamless appearance. The Palladiom shades are available in both wired and battery applications, making installation easy in existing homes.

Stylish New Keypads

Lutron believes that a button or switch on the wall should enhance or complement your interior design—not detract from it. In recent years, Lutron has unveiled new keypads that control your lights and motorized shades to customized settings. The classic and timeless Alisse keypads work with Luton’s HomeWorks wired control system. With a tap on one of the circular buttons, you can raise or lower shades for the entire room or house.

For a more sleek, modern aesthetic, Lutron’s Palladiom keypads control your shades in architectural metals, glass, or graphite with customized LED-backlit buttons. Buttons like “Entertain” or “Dine” can adjust lights and shades for the perfect ambiance in seconds, or you can use buttons like “Shades Open” or “Shades Close” that simplify controls for everyone. And if you prefer to use voice control? The Palladiom keypad is available with Josh.ai voice assistant wallplates.

WHY UPGRADE?

Once you’ve switched to motorized shades, it’s hard to imagine going back to manual. But until then, let us paint a picture of Lutron’s “set and forget” convenience.

Imagine your home’s shades opening and closing automatically throughout the day. You can start your morning with soft, natural light, and as you leave the house, shades will close to keep rooms cooler and prevent furnishings from fading

Work in the home office? Sunlight sensors tell your shades to close when the sun strikes the window, so you’ll eliminate glare across your computer screen. And in the evening, shades can close on their own to provide the privacy you need. Ever want to make a change? Tap a wall keypad, instruct your voice assistant, or use the Lutron app to remotely control your window treatments.
