Texadia Systems and DM Home Entertainment announced today that the companies have executed a definitive merger agreement. This transaction represents the convergence of two innovative, best-in-class home automation companies with the goal of providing unparalleled industry knowledge and world-class customer support to its builder and client communities. The privately held company will operate under the brand name Texadia Home Technologies.

Texadia Systems, one of Dallas’ fastest growing companies, is an audiovisual systems integration company, founded in 2013, with a focus on commercial relocation projects, design/build AV projects, high-end customer homes and multi-dwelling units. Texadia’s unique ability to balance sales growth with operational efficiency earned the organization record-growth in 2016, landing it on the 2017 SMU Cox Dallas 100 list of Dallas’ fastest growing companies.

DM Home has been building an exceptional reputation in the home entertainment and automation industry since 2003. Its 15-year focus has been on providing builders and homeowners with the very best service, materials and equipment in its suite of services, which includes in-home theater design and installation, whole house pre-wire, security, central vacuum systems, intercom and professional lighting. The organization’s long record of customer success has created high customer loyalty and steady growth.

The same exceptional people and processes that DM Home has built its reputation on for the past 15 years, combined with Texadia Systems’ back office and customer service systems, will enable a world-class builder and customer experience unmatched in the industry under the newly branded Texadia Home Technologies entity. Texadia Systems will continue to serve the commercial sector’s audiovisual systems integration needs, led by founder and CEO Steve Burke.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome the DMHE team to the Texadia family to form a dedicated residential division in our company,” said Burke. “We’ve experienced extensive growth since we started back in 2013, and we feel Mike Oborny and his team are the perfect fit to help us continue offering our clients a great experience in the design, build, install, service and support of their home AV investment.”

Burke continued, saying:

“Mike brings a wealth of system integration knowledge and experience as well as great a group of people that we feel make us an even a better team. With the rapid growth we experienced, we felt that the time was right to have separate companies with focus on their respective industries. This merger allows us to sharpen our focus and provide our clients with a superior AV customer experience—both residentially and commercially. We couldn’t be more excited.”

”Forming Texadia Home Technologies is the most exciting part of my career in the AV industry,” said Mike Oborny, head of DM Home Entertainment. “With over thirty years of experience in the technology industry, specifically Electronic Data Systems and CBS Viacom, plus the last fifteen years as founder of DMHE, I believe Texadia Home is perfectly positioned to support our clients and builders with world-class solutions.”

Oborny continued:

“Steve Burke and I have brought years of experience, combined with the best team of people, to deliver reliable and innovative solutions while continuing our strong history of excellent customer service in the home automation market. Making solutions simple to use and understand for our clients has always been our focus and we will continue to deliver on that promise every day. Texadia Home will find no barriers as the technology between home and commercial continue to progress. This merger of talent, resources, buying power and expertise uniquely position us for growth in the ever expanding DFW market.”

Texadia Home Technologies will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas, alongside Texadia Systems. Steve Burke will hold the same position in the new combined company. Mike Oborny will serve as President.
