How OpenPath Works 

Imagine a person walking up to your business’s entrance, waving their hand over a reader, and like magic, the door opens. How did that happen? OpenPath’s reader senses hand gestures up to a few inches away, and its Wave to Unlock feature triggers authentication requests with a user’s smartphone. Even if your phone is in your bag or pocket, the reader automatically checks in over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or BLE. So even if the internet is down, it still connects! 

OpenPath readers know your phone is close by, so as you approach and wave, it is ready to unlock instantly. Wave to Unlock offers a quicker, frictionless walk-through experience compared to many other access control technologies. All you need to carry is your phone, but you don’t have to open it and swipe to a QR code or find an app. Just walk right through! 

Conveniently Cloud-Based

If you’re looking for a smart, simple way to manage access control, OpenPath’s cloud-based system gives administrators remote management capabilities that can be accessed anywhere. You’ll see real-time data on the interface and can create or revoke user credentials anytime. 

The Flexible Lockdown solution allows you to automatically lock or unlock all doors in an emergency and send real-time alerts to staff in the system. Your security team can even create multiple lockdown plans to instantly activate via smartphone, so campus-wide safety is only a press of a button away.
